2020 Family Reunion at Canoa Heritage Fair
Once again, a family reunion will be held at the Historic Hacienda de la Canoa on March 7, 2020 from 9AM-3PM. The Heritage Fair will have antiques and collectibles, fine arts and crafts, local food, lectures, music, dancers, demonstrations and animals. Head over to the Foreman’s’ house to see the George Redondo Proctor Western Heritage Collection, dedicated 2018. Outside the Foreman’s house Pima County Parks and Rec are setting up a large tent and seating for us to reminisce. This event is not exclusive to Proctors. It’s an opportunity for old time ranch families, neighbors, and friends to remember our regional past and create memories with new ones.
The Canoa ranch is where Charles A. Proctor worked as a Foreman/Superintendent for Maish and Driscoll cattle interests in the 1880s-1890s. The Foreman’s house original construction date is unknown but it’s possible that Charles A. used this as his ranch living quarters in the late 1800s. It’s the oldest building on the property and is in the later stages of restoration. Food & Activities
9AM-3PM – The Proctor Family Reunion will have light snacks and water available. There will be local food trucks with items to purchase at the Canoa Heritage Fair. We will have a Family Tree, photos and a couple games for the kids or kids at heart.
Note: Weather has been sunny and warm, please bring hat or sunglasses and sunscreen. The Canoa ranch has unpaved grounds and we encourage you to visit all the features and exhibits, please wear comfortable closed toe shoes.

The Historic Hacienda de la Canoa is south of Continental Rd in Green Valley, AZ. There are limited hotels in the Green Valley area. If you wish to stay in Tucson – downtown and Tucson International Airport (TIA) are 30 miles away. About a 30 minute drive.
