Get up at the crack of dawn and work your ass off all day. Welcome to the ranching lifestyle, the grind hasn’t changed over the years. However, the equipment, technology and land most certainly have.

In the late 18oos southern Arizona ranchers were not just neighbors they were family. Literally, “slim pickings” as the locals would say. Many of the pioneer families are unified through work and family. Charles R Proctor married Inez Redondo in June of 1914. The photo below is taken about 1914 and shows many of the Proctors and Redondos posing for the camera. Ranch life was tough and needed the occasional comic relief. Every now and then the guys would have some fun. What did “Paizano” Nabor R Redondo do? Is this a bachelor party for Charles R? What is the story behind this photo!?
